**The Opportunity**

Join our **Safety team**as a **Health and Safety Professional** in **Port Kembla NSW**. People are our strength and safety is at the core of everything that we do. We look out for one another and believe everyone is a leader of safety.

Collaborating with our frontline management teams, you will coach, develop, and support our manufacturing business to achieve its health and safety requirements, as well as working on exciting innovation projects to support our teams now and into the future. In this dynamic role, where no day is the same, you will be exposed to a variety of different risk profiles - providing you with the opportunity to enhance and grow your expertise.

Working as part of a national safety team you will have the opportunity to be part of an organisation who is always focused on ensuring we are up to date with new methods and advancements in Safety, Health and Wellbeing,

**What Will You Do?**

Working with our leadership teams across manufacturing, you will:

- support and drive critical risk reviews
- promote the Health and Safety strategy and deliver advice that will drive sustainable improvement
- monitor the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and governance processes to manage risk and legal requirements
- deliver advice to our business leaders, thinking beyond the quick fix, to promote continual improvement in the engagement of people and management of risk
- support incident investigations and use those learnings to improve controls
- build health and safety leadership capability within the department

- qualifications in WHS
- proven experience in governance over HSE management systems and critical risk controls
- ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels of the business
- the ability to promote and inspire innovation and change
- the ability to work autonomously and balance day-to-day tasks with longer-term strategic projects
