Job Title: HSE Advisor
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will work on a 2/1 FIFO roster ex-Perth to manage and implement site health, safety, and environment management plan, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- They will monitor performance during daily construction activities and liaise with the workforce to convey health and safety requirements while maintaining field and office-based duties.
- The role involves input to toolbox & pre-start meetings, reviewing job hazard analyses, undertaking risk assessments, hazard identification, site auditing, incident investigations, and reporting.
- This is a role where the successful candidate will have autonomy to positively influence and drive site safety culture to ensure a zero-harm environment for the workforce.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification in occupational health and safety (OH&S) and/or tertiary degree in OH&S.
- Maximum 5-10 years' experience in industrial or civil construction projects in Western Australia as a HSE officer/advisor on site working for contractors.
- Past success implementing HSE management plans and requirements on construction sites in the mining or industrial sector while working on FIFO 2/1 basis.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills and excellent competency across Microsoft Office suite.
- Solid knowledge of WA health, safety, and environment legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels with various stakeholders.
- Clean driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment medical testing.
