We are looking for a hands-onenergetic and experienced on-site motel management couple tooversee the running of a 20 roommotel on the northside of Brisbane. The successful couplewillenjoy this type of role and the variety that it brings. The successful couple will work completely autonomously and take ownership for the business.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Manage performance of employees, coordinate recruitment, induction, training, and development of housekeeping staff.

Manage the daily operations including front office and housekeeping

Provide support and training on the motels standards, policies and procedures, operational requirements, and business objectives.

Manage the operational performance of the motel through meeting and exceeding set budgetary requirements.

Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities,

Foster a culture of continuous business improvement

Manage and resolve guest concerns in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction.

Monitor a program of statutory and maintenance activities across all functions of the motel

Assist in managing compliance in WH&S, licensing, fire regulations and essential services.

Qualifications & Requirements

The successful applicants will have a strong background in hospitality operations, staff roster and cost control management.

Previous management of a mid-sized motel is essential,

Previous experience in a hands-on role, actively leading from the front to set the culture

Extensive knowledge of booking management software.

Good understanding of housekeeping operations

Great with people and the ability to build rapport easily.

A driver's license is required.

Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Must be willing to live onsite.

Opportunity to set up the role, that meets needs of the successful couple and their desired work life balance in terms of roster and overall achievement of business outcomes. For example a suitable roster could be 3-4 weeks on and 1 week off, or 2 weeks on and couple days off.

There is a very minimal Food and Beverage component to the business. There is no restaurant on site.

As a live-in position, you will be provided with an onsite 2-bedroom residence.

The successful candidates can be engaged on an ABN contract or be on salary. A suitable remuneration will be negotiated. A start in the role is Aug- Sept 2025.
