Overview

Join to apply for the IT Contract / Commercial Manager role at Reserve Bank of Australia.

At the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), we are seeking an IT Contract/Commercial Manager for a 14-month fixed term contract to lead and innovate within our IT function.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage the Bank's IT vendor portfolio to drive value for money through performance management
  • Uplift contract management practices across IT and develop and maintain proactive vendor relationships
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver best practice vendor management
  • Contribute to the broader leadership team, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IT vendor management practices
  • Extensive knowledge of Information Technology supplier market
  • Demonstrated contract management skills, including facilitation of performance management reporting, contract governance and relationship management
  • Knowledge of state and/or federal government procurement rules, procurement process, tender preparation and evaluation
  • Familiarity with leveraging panel arrangements including supporting negotiation of contract terms within the constraints of panels
  • Experience in managing IT vendors at strategic and transactional levels
  • Knowledge of contract management with the demonstrated ability to establish and improve governance of technology contracts
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate across departments and peer organisations
  • Qualification in Procurement or Contract Management (e.g., Cert IV, Diploma, CIPS, Adv Diploma)
