Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Automation Test Analyst
to join our clients QA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright for modern web applications
. Working closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA team members, you will ensure solution quality, usability, compliance, and reliability across both UI and API levels.

Contract Summary

  • Rate:
    $800 – $850 per day + Super
  • Contract Length:
    15 October 2025 – 30 June 2026 (pending checks)
  • Work Model:
    Hybrid (split between office and WFH as required)
  • Location:
    Eveleigh

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive test plan covering functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Write detailed test cases based on requirements and user stories for both UI and API levels
  • Validate data flow between UI, APIs, and backend systems
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using
    Playwright
    with TypeScript and Cucumber BDD framework
  • Conduct functional, regression, end-to-end, and cross-browser testing
  • Coordinate and support
    UAT
    , assisting business users and reporting/logging issues
  • Log, triage, and track defects using tools such as
    MicroFocus
    and
    JIRA
  • Ensure solutions meet data privacy, accessibility (WCAG), and policy requirements using accessibility tools
  • Integrate automated tests into
    CI/CD pipelines
    (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Provide test coverage reports and metrics to stakeholders
  • Contribute to and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable components
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in automation testing

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum
    5+ years of experience
    in test automation with Playwright or similar tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
  • Strong programming skills in
    TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
  • Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with
    API testing
    (e.g., Postman, REST Assured)
  • Familiarity with
    version control systems
    (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with
    CI/CD pipelines
    and test automation integration
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with
    BDD frameworks
    (e.g., Cucumber)
  • Exposure to
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
  • Understanding of
    accessibility testing
