Return to Work Coordinator / HSE Advisor

M2P Engineering

Full-Time

As our RTW Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind our national Return-to-Work (RTW) program, with the opportunity to fully design and implement processes and procedures that will support our workforce across the country. While the primary focus is on RTW, you'll also contribute to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives in our work place across Australia, ensuring our operations remain safe and compliant.

Based out of our Head Office in Teneriffe, with some interstate travel required to meet project and company needs, you'll draw on your extensive experience to develop RTW strategies, manage cases, and carry out relevant investigations. Your efforts will ensure that injured employees receive the care and support they need to return to work safely and efficiently, while also contributing to a strong safety culture within M2P.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Managing the interactions and communication with relevant workers compensation insurers in relation to injuries and claims
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive RTW process, tailored to our national operations.
  • Coordinating RTW cases, working closely with injured workers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing clear and concise return to work plans to be implemented and coordinated with project teams
  • Assist and support with investigations related to RTW and contribute to implementing corrective actions.
  • Supporting HSE initiatives in our workplace's across Australia, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Return-to-Work Coordinator certification.
  • Previous experience in a workshop or industrial environment.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar position, coordinating Return to Work processes for a medium to large-sized business.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing RTW processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of national workers compensation, return to work and workplace health and safety regulations and standards.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
