Claims Management Specialist

Our organisation is seeking a skilled Claims Management Specialist to lead our team in providing ongoing support during the return-to-work journey.

The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced claims professionals from New Zealand to join our growing team. As a senior team member, you will set the standard in claims management while guiding and supporting others through mentoring and coaching colleagues and leading by example to create a culture of collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pro-actively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy.
  • Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
  • Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory.
  • You must currently be residing in New Zealand to be eligible for relocation benefits.
  • An empathetic, resilient, and motivational approach to provide customer centric support.
  • A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy to manage stakeholder engagement.
