Work Injury Rehabilitation Specialist

About the Role:

The Work Injury Rehabilitation Specialist plays a vital part in our team, providing professional outsourced return to work and claims consulting services. This involves administering injury management software, liaising with key stakeholders, and conducting thorough reviews of claims to assess progress and recommend actions to facilitate recovery and return-to-work.

This is a dynamic position that offers significant opportunities for development and career progression in the Workers Compensation consulting and injury management profession.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform outsourced Return to Work Coordinator functions, managing the return-to-work process for injured workers, including triaging and lodging new claims promptly.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive return to work plans tailored to the needs of injured workers, ensuring compliance with employer obligations and best practices.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and insurers, to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns throughout the return-to-work process.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of claims to assess progress and recommend actions to facilitate recovery and return-to-work.
  • Administer injury management software, generate reports, and maintain accurate documentation to support effective injury management practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in allied health or a related field.
  • Experience in claims management functions at an insurer or employer.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
