Overview

People & Culture Associate (Talent Acquisition) - Job Share 2 Days - 14 hours per week (12 Month Contract - Thursday & Friday)

Location: Tamworth NSW

The position offers flexible 2 day work weeks within a close-knit, supportive team. It provides hands-on recruitment experience and exposure to talent attraction projects, with the potential for additional hours to cover team leave.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Council as an Employer of Choice and manage end-to-end recruitment through attraction, recruitment, and onboarding of suitable talent
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies
  • Support employer branding initiatives and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure fair, merit-based processes align with the Local Government Act
  • Regularly review advertising campaigns results and report on outcomes using metrics
To Be Successful
  • Certificate IV in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Driver Licence
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent time management
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with efficiency and professionalism
  • Team player mindset, proactive and flexible
Additional Information

Salary range: Grade 12, $ $44.46 per hour plus 12% superannuation for a 14 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills and experience.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.

Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
