Council have an exciting opportunity for a proactive solutions-focused individual with strong communication skills to join our team on a Part Time basis. Our ideal candidate will be extremely well organised, be a relationship builder and have demonstrated experience in recruitment or talent management so we can continue to deliver an outstanding candidate experience with new employees joining Council.

This role offers the potential for additional hours to cover team leave as required, making it perfect for someone looking for flexibility while still contributing meaningfully to a fast paced HR function.

The People & Culture Associate (Talent Acquisition) is responsible for:

  • Promoting Council as an Employer of Choice and managing the end to end recruitment process through the attraction, recruitment and onboarding of suitable talent
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and developing effective sourcing strategies
  • Supporting employer branding initiatives and ensuring a great candidate experience
  • Maintaining accurate recruitment records, ensuring fair, merit-based recruitment practices align with the Local Government Act
  • Regularly reviewing the results of advertising campaigns and using metrics to report on these outcomes

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Certificate IV in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar or equivalent relevant experience
  • Driver Licence
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with efficiency and professionalism
  • A team player mindset that is proactive and flexible

Salary range: Grade 12 - $ $44.46 per hour plus 12% superannuation for a 14 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
