Our client represent a large number of water treatment manufacturers from around the globe to distribute their products throughout the ANZ region on their behalf. They carry an extensive range including mechanical, membrane and residential filtration as well as a wide range of instrumentation equipment and have a key focus on promoting quality products.

The company offer extensive product knowledge and support to help assist in design of your system requirements.

Position summary

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager (NSW) to join the company and be responsible for identifying, qualifying, tracking, and managing sales opportunities with clients across all market segments.

Consideration will be given to people based in Melbourne, VIC also.

We are looking for someone with sales experience across water treatment equipment and technologies. Selling into either industrial, municipal or even agriculture and irrigation.

Specific responsibilities

• Responding to and follow up on sales enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers to maximise sales and profitability.
• Maintain regular call plan and develop growth strategies for existing and new clients in your region.
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
• Provide technical advice, training and support to all customers.
• Provide a sound knowledge of all products in the portfolio to the customer base

Required experience

• Previous experience in a sales and / or technical role in the water industry
• Tertiary Engineering Degree (Chemical, Process, Mechanical) ideal, would also consider someone from a trades background with demonstrated sales experience or desire to get into sales
• an ability to maximise quotations
• a talent for building relationships with a customer service driven style
• a technical mind set with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
