Position Overview

City Chic is a global leader in plus-size fashion, empowering women to embrace their curves with confidence and style. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 
Area Manager
to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth execution of store operations, driving consistency, and supporting the success of our retail network.

As an Area Manager,
you'll lead 4-6 stores across the region, driving performance, culture, and customer experience. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of your territory — coaching teams, living and breathing GAMES (our sales methodology), delivering on KPIs, and ensuring compliance in all areas of store operations, is each of your allocated stores

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Champion a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Inspire store leaders through coaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Set clear expectations and lead by example in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Drive team to hit KPIs tied to sales, conversion and ACS in each store.
  • Maximise stock performance and gross margin potential.
  • Lead wage control through effective rostering and enforcing wage budgets.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation eg the GRIA.
  • Complete audits and reports within required timeframes.
  • Manage performance with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track-record in retail store management, multi-site experience highly regarded but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail financials.
  • Strategic thinker with a knack for turning plans into action.
  • Passion for fashion and a deep connection to our core capabilities.
  • Full driver's licence and willingness to travel across QLD.
