About the role

As the Coordinator, Recreation Facilities, you will deliver high-quality health, fitness, and recreation services across Deakin University's sports facilities and gyms. With a focus on service delivery, organisation, and team collaboration, you will help foster a vibrant, inclusive, and active environment aligned with our mission to promote wellbeing through movement and connection.

  • Monitor industry trends and member insights; conduct member surveys and apply findings to enhance programs and customer experience.
  • Engage with stakeholders (students, staff, clubs, residential services, and community partners) to support university-wide programs, student placements, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A Degree in Exercise and Sports Science with substantial relevant experience; or extensive experience in technical/administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders and/or clients from business, government, or community sectors and students.
  • Extensive experience in the fitness industry, including health club/fitness centre operations.
  • Proficiency with CRM and fitness-specific software.
