Overview

Sport & Recreation Liaison Officer at Kingston City Council. The role supports Kingston Active Team and partners with sports clubs, community organisations and key stakeholders to provide active and healthy opportunities across Kingston.

Responsibilities
  • Foster partnerships with sports clubs, community organisations and key stakeholders.
  • Engage with the Kingston community to provide active and healthy opportunities.
  • Coordinate stakeholder input and involvement in planning and delivery of works and projects.
  • Communicate effectively to achieve outcomes benefiting the Kingston community.
  • Work independently and within a team, with strong written communication and presentation skills.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the operation of outdoor sporting and recreation facilities.
  • Ability to liaise with sports clubs and community groups.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to achieve outcomes for the Kingston community.
  • Proven ability to coordinate sports club stakeholder input.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills; experience preparing project plans, engagement plans, reports and correspondence based on evidence-based research and data.
  • Degree or Diploma in sport and recreation administration and/or project management qualifications or equivalent relevant experience with sporting and recreation clubs and school groups.
