About the role:
The Facilities Coordinator provides support to the Facilities Manager in the delivery of high quality facilities management services to AMES Australia employees and clients, whilst maintaining tight deadlines and budgets. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for determining Essential Services requirements ensuring compliance of each service and ongoing scheduled maintenance of Essential Services throughout all tenancies. The Facilities Coordinator also project manages existing site refurbishments and establishment of new sites, including ensuring design is in accordance with divisional and building requirements. Additionally, Facilities Coordinators manage, liaise and negotiate with occupiers and suppliers in ordering, receiving, recording all furniture and building repairs, refurbishment, disposal and general maintenance.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- A minimum of 4 years' hands-on experience in Facilities Management
- Minimum of Certificate III in Facilities or Business related field is desirable
- Extensive and detailed working knowledge of commercial and residential leasing principles and practices and of 
 rights and obligations under leases
- Extensive knowledge of Building Code compliance, Rooming House Standards, Occupancy Permits and Essential 
 Services compliance
- Demonstrated ability in providing a high standard of customer service, with excellent verbal and written 
 communications skills and demonstrated experience in effective decision making
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively and professionally with management and 
 staff at all levels, building owners, external contractors and service providers. Basic negotiation skills would be an
 advantage
- Extensive expertise in establishing and managing budget processes relating to commercial and residential 
 properties
- Demonstrated extensive experience in designing, implementing, managing and reviewing systems for managing 
 commercial and residential properties
- High level of organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated expertise in managing projects relating 
 to commercial and residential properties
- Detailed working knowledge of procedures for the purchase of goods and services, the engagement of contractors 
 and the disposal of surplus plant and equipment
- Knowledge of the Finance One financial system to submit Purchase Orders and Invoices is desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements relating to commercial properties
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability and professionalism consistent with AMES Australia Vision and
