GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist provision in St Leonards. The role is perfect for someone who's calm, resilient, and wants to help pupils succeed both emotionally and academically.
About the Role :
As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll support pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour challenges, or trauma-related needs. You'll help them feel safe, supported and ready to learn, while working closely with teachers, support staff and pastoral teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide 1 : 1 mentoring and tailored behaviour supportHelp pupils manage emotions and make positive behaviour choicesModel respectful and consistent boundariesSupport classroom routines and de-escalate where necessaryBuild trust and positive relationships with studentsJob Requirements :
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needsCalm, confident, and emotionally resilientA non-judgemental, empathetic approachGood communication and teamwork skillsAn enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willing to apply for one)What We Offer :
