Behavioural Support Specialist

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome social, emotional or behavioural challenges? This role is perfect for someone who's calm, resilient and wants to make a positive impact on pupils' lives.

You'll provide one-to-one mentoring and tailored behaviour support to pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour challenges or trauma-related needs. Your goal will be to help them feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

  • Provide individualised support and guidance
  • Help pupils develop coping strategies and make positive behaviour choices
  • Model respectful and consistent boundaries
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to create a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • Calm, confident and emotionally resilient
  • A non-judgemental and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willing to apply)

This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles. Successful applicants must satisfy all background checks and adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
