About the role The General Court Intervention Program (GCIP) is a pilot program led by the Department of Justice, in partnership with Connect Wanju, based at Perth Magistrates Court.
The program focuses on providing people on bail with needs-based support through case management and priority access to community services.
The Program Coordinator (GCIP) leads the development and management of the GCIP and oversees its ongoing delivery in conjunction with other departmental and external service providers.
This includes assessment, case management, targeted intervention for people on bail, brokering and procuring treatment programs and services, and resource allocation.
The Coordinator ensures service delivery is consistent, culturally competent, and evidence-based.
The four key areas addressed by GCIP are: Physical and/or mental health concerns Drug and alcohol dependency and misuse issues Social and economic needs contributing to offending Homelessness It is desirable that the Coordinator has experience managing interventions in these areas and knowledge of family violence interventions.
