We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Coordinator HR Shared Services to lead the delivery of efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR operations.
This role oversees our core People functions including payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration, ensuring a seamless experience for employees and leaders across the City of our HR fundamentals About the role As a senior member of the People & Culture team, you'll lead a multidisciplinary HR Shared Services team and partner closely with our People & Performance Business Partners.
Your leadership will be central to ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operational HR activities.
What you'll be doing in the role: Leading the City's HR Shared Services team across payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration Driving operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, including supporting payroll audits and reporting Streamlining HR processes and documentation to improve efficiency Delivering on key priorities in the City's Workforce Plan and tracking progress Building proactive reporting frameworks to support strategic people management Fostering a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and collaboration within the team Partnering with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver high-quality outcomes Supporting continuous improvement and innovation across HR operations What you will bring to the role: You're a confident and capable HR leader with a passion for operational excellence.
You'll bring: Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams Proven ability to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a complex environment Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills Experience across HR Shared Services including payroll, recruitment, advisory, and administration Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Data analysis skills to support informed decision-making A current driver's licence and National Police Clearance For a closer look at the role please refer to the Position Description attached to the vacancy in our recruitment portal.
