Operational Excellence HR Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR operations.

This role oversees the City's HR Shared Services team, driving operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary HR team across payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration
  • Drive operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including supporting payroll audits and reporting
  • Streamline HR processes and documentation to improve efficiency
  • Deliver on key priorities in the City's Workforce Plan and track progress
  • Build proactive reporting frameworks to support strategic people management
  • Foster a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and collaboration within the team
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation across HR operations

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams
  • Proven ability to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a complex environment
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience across HR Shared Services including payroll, recruitment, advisory, and administration
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Data analysis skills to support informed decision-making
  • A current driver's licence and National Police Clearance
