
Operational Excellence HR Leader

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR operations.
This role oversees the City's HR Shared Services team, driving operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery.
- Lead a multidisciplinary HR team across payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration
- Drive operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including supporting payroll audits and reporting
- Streamline HR processes and documentation to improve efficiency
- Deliver on key priorities in the City's Workforce Plan and track progress
- Build proactive reporting frameworks to support strategic people management
- Foster a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and collaboration within the team
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Support continuous improvement and innovation across HR operations
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams
- Proven ability to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a complex environment
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience across HR Shared Services including payroll, recruitment, advisory, and administration
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Data analysis skills to support informed decision-making
- A current driver's licence and National Police Clearance
