Base pay range

A$127,184.00/yr - A$142,920.00/yr

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Coordinator HR Shared Services to lead the delivery of efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR operations. This role oversees our core People functions including payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration, ensuring a seamless experience for employees and leaders across the City of our HR fundamentals

About the role

As a senior member of the People & Culture team, you'll lead a multidisciplinary HR Shared Services team and partner closely with our People & Performance Business Partners. Your leadership will be central to ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operational HR activities.

What you'll be doing in the role:

  • Leading the City's HR Shared Services team across payroll, recruitment, HR advisory, and learning administration
  • Driving operational excellence and consistency in HR service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, including supporting payroll audits and reporting
  • Streamlining HR processes and documentation to improve efficiency
  • Delivering on key priorities in the City's Workforce Plan and tracking progress
  • Building proactive reporting frameworks to support strategic people management
  • Fostering a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and collaboration within the team
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation across HR operations

What you will bring to the role:

You're a confident and capable HR leader with a passion for operational excellence. You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary HR teams
  • Proven ability to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a complex environment
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience across HR Shared Services including payroll, recruitment, advisory, and administration
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Data analysis skills to support informed decision-making
  • A current driver's licence and National Police Clearance
