Business Services Manager - Mid-Tier Firm: High-Growth Private Clients Are you looking for a firm where your leadership is valued, your input matters, and you get to work with some of Australia's most dynamic private businesses and families? One of Sydney's leading mid-tier firms is looking for a driven and people-focused Manager to join their growing Business Services division.
You'll manage a portfolio of privately owned businesses and family groups - providing a mix of compliance, tax, and high-level advisory services that go far beyond the numbers.
This is a client-facing role with significant Partner access, autonomy, and influence - ideal for someone ready to take ownership while building strong internal and external relationships.
What you'll be doing
• Managing and reviewing complex financial statements, consolidated reports, and tax returns
• Leading your own client portfolio, while supporting Partners on firmwide clients
• Overseeing WIP, budgeting, and workflow to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
• Delivering tax planning, structuring advice, and management reports
• Mentoring and developing junior and intermediate team members
• Contributing to strategic planning discussions with clients and internal leaders
• Driving business development through tender support, networking, and cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll bring
• CA qualified with 6+ years in business services or advisory roles
• At least 1-2 years experience in a leadership or Assistant Manager role
• Strong tax knowledge and experience advising private business clients
• Confidence managing complex engagements and leading a team
• High emotional intelligence and a passion for client success
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage up and down.
