This fulfilling role involves supporting the Senior Manager Compliance and the broader Governance & Risk function to develop and implement RAA Group's Compliance Management Framework, Policies, and related initiatives. Playing a crucial role in instilling a culture of compliance by design, integrating it with business strategies, and decision-making.

The Compliance Manager will serve as an advisor, working closely with stakeholders, both internal and external, to offer compliance expertise and guidance, and providing feedback or challenge when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage a culture of compliance maturity by blending compliance considerations with business objectives and decision-making for a compliance by design approach.
  • Introduce and execute initiatives to embed the Compliance Management Framework across RAA.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes, ensuring their effective implementation across the RAA Group.
  • Handle compliance incidents and reporting, supporting the Senior Manager Compliance in fulfilling the roles of RAA Privacy Officer and Whistleblowing Investigation Officer.
  • Create and conduct compliance training and communication programs to enhance awareness of compliance requirements throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate across functions to provide compliance expertise and assistance on projects, policy updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:

You are a motivated individual with a strong passion for excellence and a drive to make a positive impact. Your background in compliance, particularly in General Insurance or Financial Services, equips you with the necessary skills to navigate and influence complex regulatory environments.

We're seeking someone with:

  • Experience in legal, compliance, and/or risk within the financial services sector.
  • A solid understanding of compliance management and/or risk management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC Regulatory Guides, as well as broader sources of regulatory obligations affecting the financial services sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to deliver presentations, and conduct training sessions and workshops across all organizational levels.
  • Great attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Innovative thinking along with the ability to efficiently handle competing priorities.
