The role undertakes complex investigations, collaborates with stakeholders, develops solutions and provides technical advice to address environmental water planning/policy issues, with the aim of achieving water reform objectives.
About You To be successful in the role, you will havea comprehensive understanding of state and federal water resource management frameworks.
demonstrated experience working in one or more of the following disciplines:engineering hydrology, water resource management, environmental science, hydraulic modelling, river operations.demonstrated experience working in a complex and time-constrained environment with changing technical and policy verbal and written communication skills.a genuine interest in the priorities and strategic directions of Government regarding water reform.
Appropriate degree-level tertiary qualifications in science, water or natural resource management, environmental engineering or a related discipline.DCCEEW conserves and protects the state's natural environment.
It manages the NSW national park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
