Reporting to the Head Of Procurement, the Pre - Contracts Manager is responsible for the engagement of design and construction partners and Network Service Provider suppliers for our clients Wind, Solar and storage projects:

  • Assist EPC Procurement Leads in the development, management, and tracking of procurement strategies.
  • Engage with development and technical teams to define project requirements, specifications and key risks.
  • Identify and address contractual risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage development of tender packages, tender bid assessments, commercial and contract departures.
  • Development of contract rights, obligations and interface matrices.
  • Lead negotiations on major procurement projects with external parties.
  • Ensure that effective contractual document control processes are adhered to.
  • Ensure our clients risk allocation objectives and tolerance are considered in all procurement and contracting processes.
  • Deliver preconstruction commercial support services across our clients projects, including managing consultants and advisors to ensure financial close for projects.
Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience working in Procurement or Project/Commercial Management in construction or energy/renewables
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry and familiarity with renewable energy technologies.
  • Experience negotiating complex infrastructure construction contracts and finance agreements.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, engineering specifications, and project management concepts.
  • Teritary qualification in Law, Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
