Location : Richmond, Melbourne

About the client

Our client is a Corporation that holds statutory responsibilities for the protection and management of Aboriginal cultural heritage and Aboriginal intangible heritage on Wurundjeri Country. Additional functions of the Corporation include, environmental land management, cross-cultural education, traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremonies, research and cultural consultations.

About the role:

Sound knowledge of OHS laws and legislation including the ability to uphold OHS Policy and Procedure. Client is rolling out a new suite of OHS Polices & Procedures and this will be a big focus.

  • Previous OHS experience working with First Peoples Nations will be highly considered
  • This is a 9- 5pm role / 5 days per week / office based.
  • Risk Assessment knowledge and experience.
  • Incident reporting and data analysis. End of month reporting.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to speak with people in varied levels of responsibility from field workers (blue collar) to senior management.
  • Minimum 1- 3 years' experience in OHS.
  • Minimum Cert IV in OHS.
  • Answer incoming calls for the OHS team.
  • Able to work under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement : Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or other relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
