About the business unit
About the role
The Justice Officer provides administration and client service duties, as required by the locations and the region. As such, the role is part of a regional administration team, and therefore requires a commitment to team building and the efficient delivery of administrative services across the region.
Administrative duties will include human resource and financial activities appropriate to the grade, and operational support activities for the various programs delivered at the locations. Client service duties may include reception, the provision of information to clients across the Justice service spectrum, payments, basic registrations, and general customer service, both face to face and via telephone as required. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, integrity, accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
The role is based at the Frankston Justice Service Centre, however when required, travel will also be required to the Moorabbin and Rosebud Offices.

**Some of your duties will include**:

- Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders to create an open and responsive environment that reflects the department's commitment to the delivery of justice.
- Undertaking tasks that provide an efficient administration function in the location and the region, including accounts payable, file management and mail.
- Participating in the development of the regional administration team, including continuous improvement activities, team building and business planning.
- Providing information and assistance, either verbal or in writing, to a range of clients, internal and external stakeholders, and the public in accordance with business processes.

About you

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Well-developed computer literacy skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations would be advantageous.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and and how work addresses those needs.
- The ability to be aware of other people's moods and temperaments and respond in a polite, professional and considerate way.

Qualifications/Experience
- A current Victorian driver's licence is desirable.
- Previous work in a multi-disciplinary service delivery team would be advantageous.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

**Acceptable evidence includes**:

- COVID-19 digital certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
