The Opportunity

  • An exciting opportunity exists within our Human Resource Business Unit for a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Business Support Officer, with a positive attitude and a great work ethic, to join the WHS team on a temporary fulltime basis (38 hours per week) for a period of approximately 3 months. This temporary role supports the WHS team by providing a range of administrative support functions and therefore assisting the team in the delivery of a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing services provided to colleagues across the City.

  • In addition, to be considered for this role, you'll possess the following skills and/or qualifications:
  • Previous administration experience in a dynamic WHS or HR environment.
  • Ideally diploma level qualification in a relevant field or demonstrated experience in health, safety and wellbeing programs and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills, including the ability to plan your own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines without supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety
  • Sound analytical, organisational and time management skills and the capacity to devise, deliver and monitor practical solutions.
  • An ability to represent the business unit in a professional manner, maintaining confidentiality as required.
  • Current National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
  • Essential 'C' Class Driver's Licence
  • The position is Level 5 Inside Workforce Agreement and attracts an hourly casual rate plus superannuation and fantastic benefits.
