The library service sits within the Arts & Libraries department of the Community Services division.

There are five main branches based in Clayton, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Oakleigh and Wheelers Hill, and Mulgrave Neighbourhood Library situated within Wellington Road Community Centre.


About the Position:


This position is responsible in providing effective and efficient rostering services which supports the delivery of library operations across the City of Monash.

This role supports the management and administration of general staffing resource management and other operational functions as required.


The incumbent will also work as part of the customer service team providing an efficient and effective library and information service to meet the library needs of the Monash community.


About You:

Demonstrated ability to provide high level administrative support

Ability to develop and implement administrative systems

Ability to use Human Resource, Rostering and Financial Management systems

Ability to analyse and improve rostering methodology in order to contribute to cost-effective, customer responsive library services

Have an awareness of the trends in library and information services

Sound skills in trouble shooting ICT issues within the library administration setting

Excellent customer service skills

Able to travel between library service points

Requirements of the position:

A current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence;
Working with Children Check (Employee)

Qualifications in HR and/or Finance-Payroll or, significant industry experience

Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence, including the ability to meet established deadlines

ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to facilitate effective working relationships within the team

well-developed verbal and written communication skills
