Our client is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Level 1 Support professional in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, providing operational support in a primarily Microsoft environment.

The successful candidate will have the chance to expand their career within a supportive helpdesk environment, providing high-level technical expertise and training.


What you'll do:


As a Level 1 Support professional in ICT, you will play an integral role in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's digital services.

You will be responsible for providing operational support, configuring, and managing ICT environments, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Your ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage workflows will be crucial in ensuring that service levels are maintained.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills further by providing training on the desktop environment and applications to end users.


  • Fulfil responsibilities in accordance with organisational values and standards.
  • Provide operational support both on-site and remotely to various sites as required.
  • Configure, install, monitor, support and manage the ICT environments using high-level technical expertise.
  • Provide training on the desktop environment and applications to end users where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain ICT documentation including knowledgebase articles and work instructions.
  • Provide Tier 1/2 technical support and participate on the helpdesk as a primary method of incident resolution.
  • Accurately triage and escalate incidents where required according to policies and procedures.
  • Prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage workflows to ensure tasks are completed within defined service levels.

What you bring:

  • Technical knowledge and/or experience in managing, configuring, monitoring, and implementing ICT environments.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality ICT support to clients with an emphasis on managing workloads and prioritising tasks.
  • Ability to identify and resolve ICT related problems within defined Service Level Agreements
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate good working relationships
  • Sound oral and written communication skills for creating system documentation and work instructions.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes.
  • Experience with local government is advantageous.
