Eligibility

Division Responsibilities
The Information Technology Division (ITD) supports a wide range of business functions,

We manage a number of public facing digital systems and lead a significant data capability
that supports our compliance and regulation functions, policy development and program

delivery. We are also responsible for delivery of desktop services to over 6,000 staff and
oversee the department's protective and cyber security services.

ITD comprises six branches and is growing to support a significant reform program focused
on modernising and transforming Health services.

Branch Responsibilities
The Data and Analytics Platform Services Branch within ITD strives for significant
improvements in Health outcomes through innovative contemporary services and
extraordinary customer solutions delivered with expertise, leading edge technologies,
excellence, and care. We work with a diverse range of business partners within the Health
portfolio and across Government (including states and territories) to deliver secure, reliable
and sustainable data and analytic platforms, tools and services and foundational insight
capabilities that help define the shape Australia's Health and Aged Care policies and
programs.?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan scrum implementation by understanding the scope of feature, timeline and
budget

  • Work with team to estimate their capacity for Iterations and assign PBIs and tasks

:

  • Finalise Team PI Objectives, and manage the timebox, dependencies, and
ambiguities during Team Breakout sessions

:

  • Run daily SCRUMS with the team

:

  • Responsible for Sprint planning, Sprint review, and Sprint retrospectives

  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies within and outside the team

:

  • Implement changes and steps to increase the team's productivity

  • Responsible for delivery of committed feature/s in time and budget

  • Responsible for providing visibility of work status through reports and dashboards.***
    Key Capabilities:
  • Educate others in agile methodologies, techniques, processes and tools and provide
- coaching, leadership and training in line with agile methodologies.
  • Identify and analyse risks, issues, opportunities, develop and lead change strategies,
- and monitor outcomes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement agile operating working models and strategies based on
localised context and requirement.

  • Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders and/or other government agencies
and industries to identify opportunities and achieve delivery outcomes.

  • Facilitate and lead complex agile ceremonies, provide recommendations and
manage outcomes, through servant leadership.

  • Resolve complex issues using professional knowledge and experience and identify
and analyse alternative courses of actions and their implications.

  • Negotiate deliverables, support levels, and workflows to ensure effective delivery of
business outcomes.

  • Research agile trends, industry dynamics, frameworks and tooling to guide the
DoHAC agile transformation.

  • Removes impediments and helps the team to become selforganizing and
empowered to create, innovate, and make decisions for themselves as one team.

  • Build and foster positive team culture along with assisting the team in becoming a
multidisciplinary team.
