Our client is a leading not-for-profit organisation who offer a wide range of emotional and practical support, from allied health, employment services and NDIS services to expert advice, wellbeing programs and peer support.


ABOUT THE ROLE


As Property Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our organisation by overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities on properties based in ACT, NSW, Victoria, and TAS.

This position requires a detail-oriented, energetic and motivated individual with strong technical, organisational and communication skills.

  • Action, prioritise and plan all job requests to achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators
  • Schedule preventative, planned and reactive maintenance for all properties, including buildings, grounds, plant, fixtures and equipment
  • Plan, create, maintain and distribute Work Order documentation to appropriate stakeholders
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled and in accordance with relevant task outlines
  • Engage and coordinate contractors for specific tasks as required
  • Review database and produce regular reporting as required
  • Evaluation of work costs through invoice review and work order issued

REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintenance and/or facilities management experience ideally within an aged care, community or welfare services setting
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and managing minor building projects, including risk management processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate instructions to ensure work is conducted in alignment to organisational and legislative requirements
  • Ability to respond to changing needs of the business, its customers and its people
  • Ability to work well in a small team supporting and learning for others to achieve business goals
  • Demonstrated experience in contractor management
  • Able to undertake coordination assessment and life cycle analysis
  • Knowledge of the property maintenance and/or asset management
  • Sound skills using Microsoft Office and experience in property/asset maintenance management software programs
