Are you looking for the next step in your career? The Finance and Procurement team have an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Services Officer with an expertise in rates.


About the Role:


Finance & Procurement provides the accounting, budgeting, financial statements preparation, revenue collection, procurement, payroll and accounts payable functions within Council.


Skills, experience and certificates:

  • Sound working knowledge of the rating, voting and special rates and charges provisions of the Local Government Act and the Pensioner Rates Assistance Scheme
  • Qualifications in Administration, Finance and or Business Systems or relevant experience in Rates
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Working knowledge of legal debt collection terminology and collection procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in account reconciliations
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
