About the role

This is a genuinely unique and exciting opportunity to leverage your Sales Management experience in a role that is primarily focused on developing the current sales team and raising the bar of excellence. You will mentor, train, upskill & lead a diverse sales team of 14 in line with overseeing a few major accounts. This will encompass everything across sales process, customer experience, systems, promotional strategy and merchandising.

Duties

  • Spend time in the ground and in field with your team & customers and lead by example with sales process, consultative selling and negotiation initiatives.
  • Implement proven sales methodologies to help upskill the team & drive increased performance.
  • Oversee all reporting and compliance - sales cycles, margins, pipeline, call visits & revenue.
  • Ultimately be responsible for lifting the bar and achieving/exceeding the sales budget
Skills and Experience
  • Experience managing a sales team with a proven background in driving consistent high performance.
  • Passion for coaching, motivating & training salespeople via demonstrated methods.
  • Sales Management experience in within a fast paced wholesale food environment; prior experience selling into the Markets, Foodservice and/or Retail will be highly regarded
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to work with a diverse group of people and ages.
  • Proven experience of being able to multi-task within a fast passed environment.
  • Commercially astute and analytically minded.
