This role is dedicated to maturing governance of the way we manage our records.

Using your experience, records system knowledge and expert communication skills, you would provide an important advisory, collaborative and leading role to drive improvements in procedures and practices central to our records management and continuous improvement culture.

Lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and enhance record-keeping culture.
Mentor Information Systems Coordinator.
Requires expertise in ECM systems, organizational improvement, and team leadership.

Your contribution Using your understanding and experience in records management you will:actively manage QLeave's Electronic Content Management (ECM) system and business records including registration, closure, storage, retrieval, archiving and compliance of QLeave's record keeping system and practices with regulatory and accountability requirements, including the Public Records Act 2022, Queensland State Archives obligations, relevant Information Standards and QLeave's policies and procedures.provide advice to staff on standards to release information, records retention, information sharing and confidentiality, and provide support to the RTI/IP decision , maintain, review and improve record management processes including, but not limited to, scanning, record structure, storage, retention (paper and electronic) and forms design.develop and coordinate the provision of enhanced training and awareness programs, and provide specialist support on the ECM responsibility to enhance QLeave's record keeping compliance and record keeping culture, including through leading reviews of document control processes, policies and procedures, systems and documentation.identify trends and common problem areas that need to be addressed by proactively auditing, monitoring, and reporting to the Executive Leadership initiatives to support continuous improvement and mentor the Information Systems Coordinator.

This position reports to the Manager Governance Risk and Planning via the Principal Policy Officer and supervises one direct report, an Information Systems Coordinator.

For this role, we will consider your: Demonstrate expert knowledge and relevant experience in information and records management, in a government context, using a relevant ECM system.

Demonstrate achievements in leading organisational improvement programs in record keeping processes and governance to support organisational objectives.
Demonstrate highly developed written, verbal, interpersonal and persuasive communication skills, including the ability to lead educational workshops as required.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships to engage, negotiate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Analyse and develop sound solutions to existing and emerging issues.

Demonstrate experience in supervising and mentoring a high-performing team in the day-to-day operations of the records and information management functions.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, although the ideal candidate would have several years' experience in records management in a supervisory role and in leading change.
