The Audit Office of New South Wales is recognised as a centre of excellence within the professional services sector.

For almost 200 years, the Auditor-General has assisted the New South Wales Parliament hold government accountable for its use of public resources.

How will you contribute?


We are seeking a
Service Manager to join a team of dedicated and professional people where you will lead the IT service and portfolio management capabilities with a focus on increasing the value of services to the business.

In this role, you will oversee the operation and ongoing support of all technology services to the Audit Office. You will manage the technology procurement and vendor management.

You will support the CIO to develop strategies to improve IT governance and the IT operating model. We will provide the opportunity to deepen your leadership skills and build strong relationships across an organisation.

The following technical knowledge is required:

  • Extensive experience in managing cloud-based technology services, end user device management and in managing technical issues associated with systems in a business environment
  • Handson experience in supporting contemporary technologies such as M365, Active Directory, Exchange etc
  • Proven ability to support business prioritisation activities by providing appropriate context and understanding of business needs.
  • Demonstrable experience in building a high performing and continually improving team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Understanding of ITIL methodology
  • Australian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen

What are the benefits?


On offer is a 35-hour work week and a total remuneration package (including superannuation) of
up to $142,054 per annum depending on experience, skills and capabilities.
