This rewarding opportunity will see you support the Senior Manager Compliance, as well as the broader Governance & Risk function, to develop and implement RAA Group's Compliance Management Framework, Policies, and related initiatives. This role is pivotal in embedding a culture of compliance by design, integrating it with business strategies and decision-making.

The Compliance Manager will act as an adviser, collaborating with stakeholders, both internal and external, to provide compliance expertise and guidance and where required provide feedback or challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of compliance maturity by combining compliance considerations with business objectives and decision making enabling a compliance by design approach.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to embed the Compliance Management Framework across RAA.
  • Manage awareness of regulatory changes, ensuring effective implementation across the RAA Group.
  • Manage compliance incidents and reporting and support the Senior Manager Compliance to discharge the duties of RAA Privacy Officer and Whistleblowing Investigation Officer.
  • Design and deliver compliance training and communication programs to enhance awareness of compliance requirements across the organisation.
  • Collaborate across functions to provide compliance expertise and support on projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You:


You are a driven, self-motivated individual with a passion for excellence and a strong desire to make a positive impact. Your background in compliance, especially within General Insurance or Financial Services, equips you with the necessary skills to navigate and influence complex regulatory environments.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in legal, compliance and/or risk within the financial services sector.
  • Deep understanding of compliance management and/or risk management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including General Insurance Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC Regulatory Guides, as well as wider sources of regulatory obligations impacting the financial services sector.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to present and facilitate training sessions and workshops to all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Innovative thinking with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
