: The ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) is responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency ambulance services to the ACT community.

ACTAS is seeking a motivated and experienced person to lead our Workforce Planning team. The Workforce Planning Team Leader is a crucial and challenging role. Responsible for managing a small, high functioning team, this role oversees and facilitates the delivery of human resources and workforce management services for ACTAS. These include, but are not limited to, strategic roster, training and leave projections, ensuring all shift and rosters are maintained in line with operational requirements, processing of pay and leave related matters, and providing sensitive and critical advice to the Operations team and Chief Officer.

The position requires a good understanding of complex rostering patterns, with a particular focus on supporting frontline emergency and non-emergency workforces, and the ability to understand and interpret Enterprise Agreements and human resource related policies and procedures. Experience in relevant HR software programs is essential.

As the Workforce Planning Team Leader, you will provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the team, managing competing priorities and working in a high tempo, frequently time-critical environment. During times of crisis or major events, this role can involve ad hoc after-hours or weekend work.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Experience in rostering with computer-based programs such as UKG KRONOS is highly desirable.
