The Role & The Team

24 month fixed term contract role based in Melbourne. This role contributes to the end-to-end workforce planning function with a focus on our southern air traffic management portfolio, utilising all available resources, systems and tools, to maintain a balanced ATM workforce across Australia.

You will be required to:

  • Manage workforce planning to support recruitment, retirement planning, training decisions and scheduling as required
  • Develop and manage the staffing plan for the next seven years and coordinate resource needs with recruitment and training
  • Effectively communicate any changes to resource allocation levels, identified deficiencies, new initiatives, and resource planning outputs to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback and recommendations relating to all resource planning activities including SAP Org Management update work packages.
  • Provides analytical support and reporting on workforce data

The Person

The successful applicant will have:

  • Bachelor degree in relevant HR or financial discipline
  • Have demonstrated experience working with complex data models and the ability to communicate analysis and insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision making
  • A demonstrated understanding of a large and complex operational workforce
  • Skilled in creating strong, effective & long lasting relationships with all stakeholders with a strong customer service ethos
  • Advanced skills in building models in MS Excel
  • Solid experience in MIS including use and understanding of business intelligence tools, data warehousing and intranet based reporting. Experience using Cognos Analytics and TM1 highly desirable
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, exercising confidentiality, combined with well-developed research and analytical skills
