We are looking for an “A Player” Retail Manager to drive the daily operations of our new Australian Distilling Co venue that has recently opened in Mercato Centrale. You will lead our high-performing team to maximise sales and profitability, deliver an unforgettable customer experience and ensure our brands continue to be best in class.
We focus on recruiting and retaining the very best people in our quest to provide outstanding service and products to our customers. We are seeking a like-minded individual who has a common-sense approach to management, to join our highly regarded team.
Key responsibilities of this exciting, hands-on role include:
- Driving sales to meet set targets and budgets while closely managing operational costs
- Onboarding, developing, and managing the team with hands-on leadership
- Conducting engaging product training and tasting events
- Actively promoting our product range and positively representing our brand at all times
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers and other key stakeholders
- Managing and completing operational duties including but not limited to rostering, forecasting, inventory management and reporting
- Ensuring the venue operates seamlessly, providing guests with an unforgettable
- Working with the General Manager to set up best practice systems and processes for our venue

Together with being reliable, loyal, and trustworthy, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
- 3+ years of Retail Management experience
- A proven track record of success in consistently exceeding sales targets
- A high level of motivation and ability to think outside of the square
- A proven ability to achieve objectives and demonstrate actual results
- Focused, driven and motivated
- A desire to learn and embrace the “lean” culture of the organisation
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Problem solving and negotiation skills
- Strong values, ensuring integrity in every decision and action
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Understanding of numbers
