The Opportunity

We’re bringing the best of Suntory to Oceania and building a best-in-class Sales team for our brand new Australian licensed function, working with brands, including Jim Beam and Maker's Mark Bourbon, Hibiki Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club Whisky, and -196.

The role of Sales Capability Manager will be critical as we build our team to get ready for our official launch to market in 2025 Your new role will see you develop then deliver Sales Capability content specific to the Alcohol category for our incoming teams (across national accounts and field sales) to ensure they are set-up for success to achieve their objectives in market from our go-live date and beyond.

Key responsibilities include:-

Design, develop and facilitate customised sales training modules and solutions to suit both the specific and generic needs of this newly formed licensed sales team Facilitate train the trainer sessions for our leaders Actively partnering with the Sales Leadership Team to evaluate effectiveness of training, modifying where needed Involvement in the induction, onboarding and training of new hires – which in the early days will be in large groups Development of training modules for each of the competencies related to the various roles across National Accounts and Field Sales including at various levels Actively supporting sales routines and coaching, including participation and contribution in monthly sales meetings, cycle meetings and other capability development where required Design and facilitate an annual competency assessment reviews for the sales teams and assist in determining individual and broader business capability gaps to build training solutions for

We’re looking for someone who has experience in working within FMCG, in particular within the Alcohol category – so you understand the nuances and key learning areas for this type of a business. With a Sales background, you will have worked on developing capability and delivering training material to support the build of skills. Your facilitation skills will be sharp as will be your ability to develop content that hits the mark. You will work across our business so building and maintaining effective relationships is important, your ability to coach and influence others will be advanced.
