About the role
Join our dynamic team and share your ER/IR expertise during negotiations for new enterprise agreements across council.
As Employee Relations Advisor you will be part of the Employee Relations team within the People and Culture Branch and provide advice about the employment framework and undertake a range of activities to support the Employee Relations Manager in the negotiation of enterprise agreements and various people and culture projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with the team on the negotiation of enterprise agreements and people and culture projects Undertake research, analysis and provide advice on employment conditions and industrial relations issues Draft enterprise agreement provisions and co-ordinate the consultation and approval processes Interpret agreements, awards, employment conditions and related legislation, and provide relevant advice to stakeholders Provide support to the wider employee relations team across a range of complex matters such as employee relations case management, investigations, reporting and projectsView the position description for more details about the role.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
A degree in business, psychology, employment law or related discipline High level written and oral communication skills to undertake negotiation and liaison The ability to work as part of a team and establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders Demonstrated ability to provide high level advice and interpretation of relevant legislation, industrial awards, enterprise agreements, policies and procedures High level research and analytical skillsPre employment checks:

This is a fixed term position until June 2025, full time, level 6 with a salary commencing at $100,533 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
