About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Advisor to join our dynamic team at Ipswich City Council. As a key member of our Employee Relations team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support on employment framework, industrial relations, and enterprise agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the team to negotiate enterprise agreements and people and culture projects
  • Conduct research, analysis, and provide advice on employment conditions and industrial relations issues
  • Draft enterprise agreement provisions and coordinate consultation and approval processes
  • Interpret agreements, awards, employment conditions, and related legislation, and provide relevant advice to stakeholders
  • Support the wider employee relations team across a range of complex matters, including employee relations case management, investigations, reporting, and projects
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in business, psychology, employment law, or a related discipline
  • High-level written and oral communication skills to undertake negotiation and liaison
  • The ability to work as part of a team and establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level advice and interpretation of relevant legislation, industrial awards, enterprise agreements, policies, and procedures
  • High-level research and analytical skills
About the Benefits
