About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team at the City of Ipswich. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to our employees and management team on employment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance on employment conditions, industrial relations, and workplace policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Employee Relations Manager to negotiate enterprise agreements and people and culture projects.
  • Undertake research and analysis to inform advice and recommendations on employment-related matters.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive workplace relationships and resolve conflicts.
  • Provide training and support to employees and management on employment-related matters.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in business, psychology, employment law, or a related field.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Experience in employee relations, industrial relations, or a related field.
