About Our Client

Our partner is a leading company in the industrial sector with offices across Australia, dedicated to providing exceptional support to their customers. Due to a recent vacancy, the company is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager to oversee their industrial clients. To be successful in this role, you will need experience in the industrial or manufacturing space and a few years of experience in Business Development or Account Management.

Job Description
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities with both existing and new customers, managing the sales pipeline to drive business growth.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new customers across all business processes, and manage customer credit performance to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to identify and develop opportunities, serving as the liaison between customers and technical/production teams.
  • Actively contribute to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) initiatives.
  • Gather market intelligence, report key findings, forecast and schedule customer requirements, and prepare quotations.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs, manage customer projects from start to finish, and play a key role in customer negotiations and resolving complaints.



The Successful Applicant
  • Demonstrated success in sales, business development, or account management
  • Relevant qualifications in business, science, or a related field are highly regarded.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and navigate technical aspects, conduct market intelligence, report findings, and take appropriate action.
  • Solid understanding of commercial processes, including managing customer credit performance and meeting sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus, with a proven ability to negotiate, secure new customers, and resolve complaints effectively.
