The role

The Pricing Assurance Manager role will be responsible for leading the pricing implementation and assurance function. This includes quality assurance, testing, compliance, complaint management and supporting system enhancements within A&G’s pricing operations.

Success in this role requires strong communication and technical skills, along with the ability to effectively lead a technical team. This is a full-time permanent position located at our Toowong head office.

Position accountabilities

  • Understand the entire end-to-end price calculation engine and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the integrity of all pricing data and processes to proactively identify risks and issues.
  • Develop safeguards to mitigate the risk of pricing errors and reduce the volume of pricing queries.
  • Design and maintain automated continuous price testing.
  • Manage compliance-related matters through the development of effective systems and processes.
  • Support compliance incident owners to manage incidents, including documentation, prepare regulatory communications, and liaise with Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Act as the Pricing team’s subject matter expert for company-wide compliance incident management as well as technical pricing operations and systems.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of IT development initiatives that directly impact pricing, including next-generation pricing engines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver pricing system enhancements.

What experience you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of general insurance industry experience
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Solid communication and technical skills and the ability to lead a technical team
