The Role

The Senior Pricing Analyst plays a crucial role in determining the pricing of our insurance products, utilizing advanced data analytics, modeling, and implementation. This position requires a deep understanding of risk-based pricing to ensure pricing decisions are well-informed and data-driven.

Position Accountabilities

  • Understand data sources, limitations, and applications within the team
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to solve complex issues
  • Efficiently manage large data sets
  • Implement rating changes and assess their impact on the portfolio
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future actions
  • Communicate technical findings to senior management
  • Evaluate new data sources for risk rating
  • Identify opportunities to enhance risk rating data and automate processes
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data assets for the team

Other

  • Perform additional tasks as needed to meet operational demands
  • Adhere to pricing policies and procedures
  • Test IT changes for potential issues before implementation
  • Prepare and present complex papers to senior management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong analytical and problems-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in statistical modeling and programming
  • Degree in mathematics, actuarial studies, or related field
