We are seeking a talented individual to join our Affinity practice team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Adelaide office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As an Account Executive, you will implement Client First Principles across your portfolio of medium to large accounts, ensuring high-quality customer service and consistent attainment of revenue and expense budgets.

We will count on you to:

  • Consistently achieve agreed service standards.
  • Foster effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and monitor changes to preserve these relationships.
  • Take a proactive approach to account management and service delivery, ensuring client needs are identified and met.
  • Utilise strong negotiation skills to provide favourable outcomes for clients and the organisation while maintaining relationships with insurer partners.
  • Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
  • Assist claims colleagues in negotiating equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of major classes of General insurance and stay updated on new technical and product developments.
  • Keep abreast of relevant legislation, including the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act and Insurance Contracts Act.

What you need to have:

  • Tier 1 qualified.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in insurance broking or underwriting.
  • Experience managing a portfolio and looking after small to medium commercial accounts.
  • Proficient in placing and advising on a wide range of insurance classes, including Public Liability and Management Liability.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent delivery of technical, administrative, and consulting support to clients.
