The Role
Airborne Surveillance Control & Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for Air Force's fleet of E-7A Wedgetail and MC-55A Peregrine systems.
 
The role currently supports Project AIR5077 Phase 6, which is responsible for obsolescence treatment to the E-7A Wedgetail fleet through to its planned withdrawal date, and will transition across to the AIR7002 Wedgetail replacement project, which will introduce the Advanced E-7 through collaboration with United States Air Force.

The position is responsible to:

Manage and supervise all project scheduling providing critical expert advice and assistance Use initiative and experience to analyse, plan, review and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes Undertake objective, systematic analysis; draw accurate conclusions based on evidence providing detailed technical, operational, professional and procedural advice for complex activities Engage with stakeholders and manage stakeholders' expectations to deliver agreed project outcomes.

ASCISPO is located at RAAF Base Williamtown in the beautiful Port Stephens region and offers access to flexible working conditions including working from home arrangements to support work life balance and an attractive remuneration package including a generous superannuation contribution of 15.4%. Defence provides relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate. The level of assistance will vary depending on the reason for relocating and your personal circumstances.

 The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritise and deliver in a timely manner Well-developed interpersonal skills, including communicating clear and confidently, both orally and written Initiative working with limited supervision whilst engaging multiple stakeholders to achieve project outputs Ability to deliver, plan and support Project Management activities through experience in scheduling Financial acumen the successful candidate will demonstrate an interest in career development and training becoming highly effective in the short to medium term. This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material be in accordance with the United States Arms Export Control Act.
