The Role
Join a state government agency as an Internal Review Officer. This is a newly created role where you will manage complex cases, ensuring compliance with uniform law and judicial review processes. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews and providing clear recommendations based on legal frameworks. This is a 3 month contract role with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed internal reviews of complex cases.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations based on your findings.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government officials and legal representatives, to gather relevant information.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload, prioritising cases to meet strict deadlines.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements and ensure best practices in case review processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong legal background with experience in internal review, judicial review, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of uniform law and government internal processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Legal qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
